Ralph Crosby, founder and chairman of the Annapolis-based Crosby Marketing Communications, will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award during the annual Best in Maryland Awards Gala December 1.
After graduating with honors from the University of Maryland School of Journalism in 1956, Crosby began his career as a reporter and then columnist and editor for The Baltimore News American. From 1960 to 1970, he was a magazine editor and White House correspondent in Washington, D.C., and culminated his journalistic career as an editor with the Kiplinger organization.
Among several entrepreneurial endeavors, he founded what would become Crosby Marketing Communications in 1973. The firm had one part-time employee who worked out of her basement. Today, 42 years later and with an office in Washington, D.C., Crosby ranks as one of the top 50 independent PR firms in the country with a list of blue chip clients including: Kaiser Permanente, DuPont, the EPA ENERGY STAR Program, Social Security Administration, Catholic Relief Services, Saint Agnes Hospital and Disabled American Veterans.
Please join us at the Best in Maryland awards gala to recognize Ralph Crosby and all of the other honorees and award winners.
