Union Craft Brewing – Tour and Happy Hour

Join us for an evening of good beer and great company at Union Craft Brewing located in the historic Woodberry neighborhood of Baltimore. We’ll meet in the Tap Room for Happy Hour at 5:30 p.m. then take a tour of the brewery with general manager Chris Attenborough.

About our guide: Chris Attenborough is the General Manager at Union Craft Brewing. Chris has been specifically focused on the conceptual development and project coordination at Union Craft Brewing and Union Collective.  Chris has his BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art and MFA from the Burren College of Art, Ireland.

Access to the building: The Coffee With BGE will be held at Weber Shandwick’s Baltimore office located in the Scarlett Place Building at the corner of Pratt and President Streets. Event attendees can enter Weber Shandwick via the office’s door on Pratt Street. Please ring the door bell if the door is locked.

PRSA Maryland’s Coffee With series is the chance for a smaller group (typically 10-15) of communication professionals to network, hear from the host about a relevant topic, and join the conversation with your thoughts and questions. You’ll meet Rachel Fontana, brand director for the distillery who will share Sagamore’s journey to market, how she and her branding team help build the Sagamore brand and grow the business, and how they use focus groups to form brand strategies and tactics.

And, learn the history of rye whiskey in Maryland, see Sagamore Spirit’s 40-foot copper column still, and taste three of their award-winning whiskies.

About our tour guide: Rachel Fontana is the Brand Director at Sagamore Spirit, focusing primarily on developing the PR and marketing efforts for Sagamore’s award-winning rye whiskey products and world-class waterfront distillery. Rachel has been with Sagamore Spirit since early 2013, helping develop the product story, packaging, and visitor experience. In less than one year, the distillery is now ranked #2 on TripAdvisor for “Things to do in Baltimore.”

Rachel is the president of Baltimore’s Women Who Whiskey chapter, and her work has been featured in Baltimore Magazine and The Tasting Panel

Rachel is an MBA candidate at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School and enjoys hiking and rock climbing. She lives in Canton with her husband and very old, but very cute, cat.
