Union Craft Brewing – Tour and Happy Hour

Join us for an evening of good beer and great company at Union Craft Brewing located in the historic Woodberry neighborhood of Baltimore. We’ll meet in the Tap Room for Happy Hour at 5:30 p.m. then take a tour of the brewery with general manager Chris Attenborough.

About our guide: Chris Attenborough is the General Manager at Union Craft Brewing. Chris has been specifically focused on the conceptual development and project coordination at Union Craft Brewing and Union Collective.  Chris has his BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art and MFA from the Burren College of Art, Ireland.

Basignani Winery Tasting & Tour

Our August networking event will be hosted at Basignani Winery where we will enjoy an evening tour and tasting. Come to Sparks to meet old and new PR pros and learn more about the wine industry in Maryland.

The fee is $20 for PRSA members, $25 for guests, which includes the tasting and snacks. Additional wine will be available for purchase.

Join us for a fun evening at Sagamore Spirit in Port Covington that pairs a talk on how brand management strategy works with a distillery tour & tasting. Only 25 spots available. Register today.

You’ll meet Rachel Fontana, brand director for the distillery who will share Sagamore’s journey to market, how she and her branding team help build the Sagamore brand and grow the business, and how they use focus groups to form brand strategies and tactics.

And, learn the history of rye whiskey in Maryland, see Sagamore Spirit’s 40-foot copper column still, and taste three of their award-winning whiskies.

About our tour guide: Rachel Fontana is the Brand Director at Sagamore Spirit, focusing primarily on developing the PR and marketing efforts for Sagamore’s award-winning rye whiskey products and world-class waterfront distillery. Rachel has been with Sagamore Spirit since early 2013, helping develop the product story, packaging, and visitor experience. In less than one year, the distillery is now ranked #2 on TripAdvisor for “Things to do in Baltimore.”

Rachel is the president of Baltimore’s Women Who Whiskey chapter, and her work has been featured in Baltimore Magazine and The Tasting Panel

Rachel is an MBA candidate at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School and enjoys hiking and rock climbing. She lives in Canton with her husband and very old, but very cute, cat. 

Note:  Only 25 tickets are available for this event. Attendees must be 21 years of age or older to participate in the tasting. Proof of age is required. This is a walking tour. Please wear comfortable shoes.

PRSA Maryland Chapter cordially invites you to mingle with members during our fall happy hour at The Valley Inn, Thursday, November 16 starting at 5:30 p.m. Food and drink specials will be available.

Conveniently located at the top of the JFX, the newly-renovated Valley Inn stays true to its historic roots while offering patrons an assortment of contemporary food and beverages. Experience the tavern-like charm in the main bar or stroll around back and enjoy the crisp, autumn air at the contemporary bar, which boasts a wood-burning fire pit and large patio heaters (weather permitting).
