Thirsty Thursday Virtual Wine Tasting with The Wine Coach

Join award-winning wine expert, Laurie Forster—The Wine Coach, for a virtual wine tasting that is just as educational as it is entertaining.

Laurie will feature four of her favorite affordable wines perfect for summer sipping and backyard bashes. She’ll use PRSA Maryland as her inspiration in selecting the wine so expect fun surprises in every sip. Learn more about Laurie here!

At the end of this tasting, you will be Smarter about wine, Better Prepared for summer wine needs and More Connected with your fellow PR friends and their guests. You’ll learn, laugh and fall in love with a few new wines!

Tickets for this edu-taining tasting are only $20… the tasting will be an hour-long with a virtual after-party for PRSA members. You’ll be provided a list of the exact wines Laurie will feature to purchase from TotalWine.com or you can purchase similar wines from your local wine retailer.

The PRSA Maryland Chapter cordially invites you to mingle with PR pros during our early spring happy hour at Tark’s Grill & Bar, Thursday, March 12, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. PRSA MD will provide appetizers. Drink specials will be available for purchase.

Tark’s is a contemporary American restaurant located in the center of Green Spring Station.

Seating is limited to 20. Attendees are responsible for the cost of additional food and all beverages.

Join us for an evening of good beer and great company at Union Craft Brewing located in the historic Woodberry neighborhood of Baltimore. We’ll meet in the Tap Room for Happy Hour at 5:30 p.m. then take a tour of the brewery with general manager Chris Attenborough.

About our guide: Chris Attenborough is the General Manager at Union Craft Brewing. Chris has been specifically focused on the conceptual development and project coordination at Union Craft Brewing and Union Collective.  Chris has his BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art and MFA from the Burren College of Art, Ireland.

Our August networking event will be hosted at Basignani Winery where we will enjoy an evening tour and tasting. Come to Sparks to meet old and new PR pros and learn more about the wine industry in Maryland.

You’ll meet Rachel Fontana, brand director for the distillery who will share Sagamore’s journey to market, how she and her branding team help build the Sagamore brand and grow the business, and how they use focus groups to form brand strategies and tactics.

And, learn the history of rye whiskey in Maryland, see Sagamore Spirit’s 40-foot copper column still, and taste three of their award-winning whiskies.

About our tour guide: Rachel Fontana is the Brand Director at Sagamore Spirit, focusing primarily on developing the PR and marketing efforts for Sagamore’s award-winning rye whiskey products and world-class waterfront distillery. Rachel has been with Sagamore Spirit since early 2013, helping develop the product story, packaging, and visitor experience. In less than one year, the distillery is now ranked #2 on TripAdvisor for “Things to do in Baltimore.”

Rachel is the president of Baltimore’s Women Who Whiskey chapter, and her work has been featured in Baltimore Magazine and The Tasting Panel

Rachel is an MBA candidate at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School and enjoys hiking and rock climbing. She lives in Canton with her husband and very old, but very cute, cat.
