Please Tell Us How You Use Social Media in PR

Over the past five years, social media has become increasingly commonplace in public relations campaigns, and many people are hiring or considering hiring social media specialists. But how big a role does social media play in PR and what skills do social media specialists need?

To gain insight into these questions, the Maryland Chapter of PRSA has partnered with the M.A. in Emerging Media Program at Loyola University Maryland to conduct a brief survey of PR professionals.

The survey will take five minutes to complete, and the results will be presented at the PRSA Maryland Chesapeake Conference on June 12.  Individual responses will be kept strictly confidential.  At the end of the survey, you will have an opportunity to enter your name to win an Emerging Media traveling coffee mug filled with goodies from the program.  The Master of Arts in Emerging Media is an innovative, one-year, primarily online program taught by dedicated, full-time, tenure or tenure-track faculty to train and challenge emerging media professionals.

Call for Speakers for 2013 Mid-Atlantic District Chesapeake Conference Open Now!

Are you interested in presenting at the 2013 Mid-Atlantic Chesapeake Conference happening June 25  at the Sheraton Columbia Town Center Hotel? If you are, then submit a Speaker RFP by Friday April 19, 2013.

We are looking for interesting topics and speakers in areas such as, but certainly not limited to:
