Maryland Auto Insurance seeks motivated and organized candidates to fill our Marketing and Communications Supervisor role.

Proven ability to lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders is desired. Candidates must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, and possess a proven record of driving results through relationship management. Experience in working with producers/agents to increase marketing activity is desired. Budget management experience, strong presentation skills and experience in developing metrics and reports are also preferred.

This position will report to a the Director of Marketing and Communication and will supervise a team of employees. Additional work time may be required on evenings, weekends, and holidays, and will be compensated as Comp Time. Flextime may be available.


This position will lead the Marketing and Communications team in developing and implementing an integrated marketing and branding strategy that will drive growth in alignment with organizational goals. The Supervisor will also lead the team in the development and execution of a comprehensive internal and external communications plan. Responsibilities will include collaboration with advertising agencies to implement various advertising campaigns, production of reports and analytics that will drive marketing decisions and management of internal and external websites.

The Supervisor will also be responsible for the Producer Outreach Strategy and the producer relationships maintained by the team and for on-going producer training and communications. This position is also responsible for interviewing, training and developing team employees; assigning work; initiating salary adjustments, promotions, and disciplinary actions; and appraising the performance of team members.


This position requires a bachelors degree in Marketing and/or Communications and at least five (5) years of experience in internal and external communications, marketing analytics, with experience in developing and implementing advertising plans, including radio, television, outdoor advertising and direct marketing.

Two (2) years of supervisory experience in leading marketing teams to achieve measurable goals is preferred.

Additional experience may substitute for the college education at a rate of one year of experience for 30 college credits.
