Sandy Hillman To Kick-off Chesapeake Conference
Sandy Hillman, ceo Hillman PR, took a vision and turned it into one of Baltimore’s premier public relations agencies - all during what would be considered a risky economic environment. Quite a few staff and a number of clients followed her.
Understandable since she spent time listening to them, working with them, advocating for them. We asked Sandy to kick-off this conference for precisely that reason - no matter what’s happening around us, she puts relationships first.

Sandy’s keynote opens the 1-day conference on October 6 at the Sheraton Baltimore North in Towson. Attendees can then choose from a series of concurrent sessions in four time slots. The morning sessions include a primer on Twitter and other critical aspects of integrating social media into a strategy including how to defending corporate reputation in the web 2.0 world. Other topics include agency management, brand management, and grassroots PR.

The afternoon provides two hands-on sessions that will answer questions about Twitter, LinkedIn and more as well as two roundtables that look at what it means to get an APR and speed-pitching.

Over lunch, we’ll celebrate the Best in Maryland Awards where we’ll announce the winners in a number of categories. Also to be announced in the Lifetime Achievement Award and the New Professionals Award. Each full-day registrant receives a luncheon ticket as do BIM entrants; to purchase additional tickets, use the Conference registration form (on-line or download). The day closes with a Happy Hour Mixer.
